B) Citronella Essential Oil and,
C) Cedarwood Essential Oil,
that are known for their calming, soothing, relaxing, anti-inflammatory properties besides multiple other as described in this page.

Handmade soaps that love you
While we have been making soaps for a couple of months now that our loving community has been using and providing us with the valuable feedback, on the web site we unveil the range of handmade soaps now. Yay!!
So what's the big deal with the soap range? Frankly speaking- nothing. They are simple, all-natural, no synthetic fragrance, no synthetic colours, and with all their natural glycerine intact. They are really no big deal. They are actually what each soap should be - made of natural vegetable oils and fats, with just natural colours using carrot, coriander, honey, multani mitti, spices, turmeric and the fragrance, wherever added, is imparted with just the plant natural essential oils like lavender, lemon grass or cedar wood.
The thing is, soaps like these are not available commercially. What we generally get from big manufacturers are products that are stripped of their natural glycerine and with added synthetic colours and perfumes that are a cocktail of toxic chemicals. Those soaps are loaded with chemicals to provide that smooth lather and fragrance.
Sarjan विमलम् (root sanskrit : meaning pure) range of soaps is just pure, natural and the way a soap should be. All soaps are made using the cold process. We use the properties of different vegetable oils to impart the soaps their qualities like cleansing, lather, creaminess, moisturizing and hardness and rely on zero synthetic chemicals for the quality of our soaps.
Some of our bestseller soaps:
1. Basic Soap - Our entry level soap that is made of our 4-oil recipe with more than 50% coconut and castor oil. It has no fragrance and is meant for people who want to keep it really simple, really natural. This soap provides you with the best cleansing without stripping your skin of moisture. The coconut and castor oil blend imparts the rich lather to he soap. This soap can be used on any skin type.
2. Soap with Lavender Essential Oil - For the lovers of lavender scent, this soap is a treat to at least two senses - the touch and smell. The real lavender essential oil is added to this soap. The soothing property of lavender essential oil imparts itself to this soap beautifully and this oil nourishes your skin with its high anti oxidant content. Suits all skin types, but if you have really sensitive skin, you may avoid it due to Lavender EO in it.
3. Soap with Multani Mitti (Fuller's Earth) - If you have skin that is oily, this multani mitti soap can help you get rid of extra oil from the skin. Multani mitti helps remove acne and blackheads too. There is no added fragrance apart from the natural scent that multani mitti imparts to this soap. Recommended for oily skin types.
4. Soap with Turmeric and Lemon Grass Essential Oil - This soap can uplift your mood instantly with its strong lemon aroma and invigorating properties. The turmeric gives the yellow colour to this soap and also imparts skin calming properties thus reducing acne and scars. Go for it if you are feeling down and need an invigorating bath.
5. Soap with Honey and beeswax - This soap contains real honey. Honey is full of antioxidants and slows ageing. It is also anti-bacterial, so treats and prevents acne. Besides it is also moisturizing and soothing and so great for any skin type. This is our only soap that contains bees wax. The natural combination of honey and beeswax lends a mild honey aroma to this soap. No added fragrances. Try it for its natural feel and moisturizing properties.
6. Spice Mix Soap - Add some cinnamon, clove, star anise and dry ginger powder together. Now close your eyes and smell the royal aromas commingle. This is what this soap gives you, a sensory treat. The ground spices lend themselves beautifully to this soap and give it a characteristic dark brown colour. As the spices are ground and not fully micronised, it also provides a scrubbing effect. 100% Natural Pink Rose Water - Our Newest Entrant
What comes to the mind when you think of rose water? The pink extract from the roses. Well, you do not generally get pink/red rose water in the market. Ever wondered why? Because what you get in the market is not rose water in its true sense. It is mostly the rooh (rose) fragrance. And note that the word "fragrance" or "sugandh" in the ingredients list of any product means it is synthetically made fragrance using chemicals in the lab. Then the rose water that you get in the market has a little bit of rose oil extract added to it. So, you technically get rose water, but do you really get rose water? It is for you to decide. At Sarjan, we make rose water by boiling real indian roses with the distilled water. So what you get is the real rose water. It is sold in its natural pink colour and with no added preservatives. We avoid preservatives wherever we can but there is a downside to it. This rose water will not last very long and you will need to refrigerate it throughout its life. So, we make it only on order so that it is given out fresh and we provide it in small sizes so that you may use it before its best before date. It will give you that fresh rose smell and you can use it directly as a toner for face cleansing or as an additive to face masks or other home-made products. Benefits of Sarjan natural products
So why should you use Sarjan products?
- Most of our products would have only 5-6 ingredients that are clearly mentioned. Most of the products in the market are a combination of about 10 to 12 ingredients and generally more;
- All our ingredients are natural or nature-derived for example, essential oils;
- Our products are imperfectly perfect! Meaning, since we do not use any chemical emulsifiers, preservatives, fragrances or colours, our products may not look like the commercial products generally available in the market. They are real;
- Ours are handmade products.
Some of our highly recommended products are:

Our Lavender body lotion is made of aloe vera gel, coconut oil, glycerin, rose water, vitamin E oil, and Lavender essential oil.

And then there was light...
Most of us would want to be mindful of what we do, so that our actions do not cause damage to ourselves. And ourselves generally includes, my loved ones, my friends and relatives etc. For some of us, the definition might extend to all living beings and some may take it yet further to include the entire environment that we have bestowed with.
Sarjan (root Sanskrit, usage Gujarati, noun: creation, verb: to create), has its roots in the minds of a few kindred spirits who want to see a better world, where we cause the least amount of damage to the world through our actions. Sarjan is about co-creating a better world for each one of us. Sarjan is about lesser and lesser toxicity in our lives (while even acknowledging that "toxic" is the word of the year for 2018 by Oxford Dictionary). Sarjan is about trying to give alternatives where not many exist and also to share the knowledge with anyone who would want to pursue the alternatives.
Sarjan has chosen a few domains for itself to work on, including natural personal care products under the brand of "The Nature Blends"; providing eco-friendly and green products like reusable cups, straw, cloth bags etc; upcycling and recycling; workshops on waste management and composting. We have started work on bringing personal care products that are simple, that is made with just a few ingredients that are well known for their functionality; products that are natural and not a cocktail of multiple chemicals; products that are real and do not promise the sky and have no preservatives to lengthen their shelf life, which means most are made to order; products that are handmade and can be customized based on your needs.
Sarjan offers an option to people who would want to reduce their footprint in the world full of synthetic chemicals and over packaged products. We are evolving and would like to hear more from people who think alike (and diverse perspectives are welcome). We would shortly be posting about the products that we are currently making and would love to hear more about your experiences.
Feel free to help us co-create by sending us an email and connecting.
Let's connect for a better world.
